The Great Global Warming Swindle

Google has it posted. If you haven’t seen it yet, I’d highly, highly recommend it. There’s some amazing stuff in there - please watch, and pass it on.

Thanks to our Tree Hugging Sister for the link.

(Yes, I watched it - that’s what got me off my lazy butt and posting something. ;) )

Local Gold Star Families Take Secret Trip to Iraq

“In a stunning and historic trip under the utmost secrecy, a delegation of families of fallen U.S. troops have traveled to Iraq to counter critics of the war effort, just days before the Nov. 7 midterm elections.”

The anti-war bunch aren’t going to like this. :D

(Thanks to everyone who emailed me this one.)

The USA is a Wounded Animal

America is a Wounded Animal

By: Me

As any hunter will tell you, a cornered, wounded animal is probably the most dangerous entity in the world. It will turn on its tormentors an inflict as much damage as possible before succumbing to or escaping from them, be it rabbit or rhino.

America is a well armed wounded animal and it is, I think, a toss up as to who she is going to lash out at first: Internally at her feckless (read traitorous) politicians or at her tormentors from without? It remains to be seen as to when we, as a society, cry:

ENOUGH!!!

At any rate, the world, be it internal or external, is walking a very, very dangerous path and should be very cautious when stirring up the hornet’s nest named:

AMERICA!

Blogburst

Steven Vincent. If you don’t know who he was, please click and find out.

If you do know, you’ll understand why there is a blogburst going on. Steven Vincent was a blogger/freelance journalist who was murdered on August 2, 2005, in Basra, Iraq. He was one of ours.

What he said:

Why the world should stand back and let Israel do what it has to do.

Update: I have changed the link above to the gentleman who wrote it. It appears that Israpundit may have posted an e-mail pass-around without mentioning it as such. (If I had know it was a pass around, I would have gone hunting for the original and linked it. Sigh.)

Putting the Pieces Together

Before the jetliners made their fateful rendezvous with the World Trade Center, like most Americans I was relatively ignorant about Islam. I knew Muslims had a Book and considered themselves “children of Abraham”. I knew they prayed towards Mecca, and worshipped in mosques. I knew their Prophet was called Mohammed. I remembered that Malcolm X was a Muslim, and that the Crusades were initiated to liberate Jerusalem from Islam during the Middle Ages. I knew that Islamic fundamentalists had taken over the government of Afghanistan in the 1990s. But that was about it.

I’ve learned a lot about Islam since September 11th, 2001.

He certainly has.

Basic Decency

I don’t have a category for basic decency. Hmm. But I’ve just officially signed on with this Statement of Principles. There are some things that are just not done. People on the internet seem to forget that. I haven’t.

Bravo!

My local paper printed the cartoons, along with a guest opinion by Daryl Cagle. All of them. I may just go buy a subscription for that. I am most certainly going to write them a thank-you note. (Along with the note that I disagree with Cagle…).

(Embarrassed hat tip to LGF - I should have known about it myself - one of the reasons I may subscribe again.)
