No, I haven’t forgotten. Nor shall I.
But I’m not watching most of the maudlin coverage. We were attacked, it was an act of war, albeit by “non-state actors” – it wasn’t a tragedy, it was a deliberate act of war. By an enemy. Not a poor misunderstood little child, an ENEMY.
And we got the ringleader this year – finally. That’s good. But then people said that celebrations of that fact were wrong. Next thing, they’ll be banning the Wizard of Oz because the Munchkins celebrated the poor misunderstood evil witch’s death.
Sheesh. We don’t really need an enemy, you know – we do a good enough job defeating ourselves. Can we stop it, please?
As usual, Mark Steyn says it better.
Steyn rocks. How you doing, Kathy?
Act of war it might have been but it was and still is the only possible response for a minority to challenge a much larger force that seems intent on becoming worldwide police.
Fact is I expected this kind of attack much earlier than it actually happened. (1 of the reasons I live in a “small” village in NE Thailand) I told my father such when he asked for my comments on it… and still I suspect and expect to see more from even more diverse groups as long as the USA continues the campaign started in the 1950s that continues through to today. Call me a cynic but world peace hinges on cooperation and not ideals or export of morals or political systems.
