And, no, as a matter of fact, I don’t care if someone invaded his privacy. I hope these pictures are splashed all over the Iraq news. It’s little enough vengeance for what he did to them. (Thanks to wits0 for reminding me — I meant to find a link to the picture yesterday, but forgot.)

I learned long ago that if you let people (particularly, anyone with any authority or power, perceived or real, and all power is perceived) get away with this kind of nonsense, sooner or later they’ll try the same kind of crap on you or someone you care about.

Speaking as an actual student of history who has studied the times and conditions that produced both of them, I’d have to say that they would. The only thing about this situation that would bother them would be the long time it’s taking before we put Saddam on trial and force him to face justice.

If I were in jail for the same sort of atrocities that he committed, I would be somewhat more worried about being let out into the arms of my adoring ‘people’ than about pictures being taken of me in any state of dress or undress.
Also, I’ve been known to hang around naturists… so it wouldn’t bother me much anyway. ::roll:
