Well then, this guy has just the thing, the “Foxblocker.”

It’s not that Sam Kimery objects to the views expressed on Fox News. The creator of the “Fox Blocker” contends the channel is not news at all. Kimery figures he’s sold about 100 of the little silver bits of metal that screw into the back of most televisions, allowing people to filter Fox News from their sets, since its August debut.

The Tulsa, Okla., resident also has received thousands of e-mails, both angry and complimentary - as well as a few death threats.

“Apparently the making of terroristic threats against those who don’t share your views is a high art form among a certain core audience,” said Kimery, 45.

Hmmm…, “thousands of Emails” and only 100 have been sold in seven months. Which makes sense considering Fox’s ratings are two to three times it’s nearest competitors. And speaking of “high art forms.” Isn’t the core audience of CNN, ABC, CBS and CNN (that also includes the “Reality based community”) the ones that have been tossing around Hitler=Bush references like frisbees at the beach? Yea I thought so.

As a sidenote, the AP news item includes a photo of his device. Unless I’m mistaken, it’s a simple frequency bypass filter available at any electronics store for a buck or slightly more. His cost to rid yourself of Fox News? $8.95, plus tax and shipping no doubt. A nice tidy profit, even at the low sales figures quoted. A profit that will skyrocket now he has scammed a way to get this nonesense onto the AP Newswire. And get this bit of trash from AP:

Business could pick up since the blocker was alluded to in a recent episode of the ABC drama “Boston Legal.” The show’s original script mentioned Fox News, but ABC had the references removed.

I may be stupid in some subjects (applied physics and particle acceleration comes to mind) but feel assured if this device was in a TV script but the “references removed” before airtime Kimery’s profits won’t go up. Maybe I misread what was meant. Could it mean only the mention of Fox was omitted and the device was then called “XXXblocker.” Not very likely is it.

The reality is AP writer Emily Fredrix got wind of the script change, investigated and found the Foxblocker website, interviewed Mr. Kimery and wrote the story. All with the idea it may stir sales and lower Fox’s TV ratings.

In what can only be classified as pot-kettle-black, Kimery’s commercial website provides a link to Media Matters. An outlet that spends as much time stretching, bending and outright lying then most media sources. Editor & Publisher also carries the AP report but puts a more “fair and balanced” headline on it, “Fox News ‘Blocker’ for Sale; ‘N.Y. Times’ Filter Next?”

And one last note on Mr. Kimery. At the bottom of his page he has a notice and statement about the hate mail he has received.

P.S. All you hate mailers out there (750 or so today) quit sending me “CNN, MSNBC, ABC, CBS, NPR and the BBC are left wing liberal hippies…….” without EVIDENCE. If you are going to send it, send it with FACTS. Facts like THESE. Just saying it makes you sound like the stupid, ignorant, uneducated hillbilly you are.

Pretty offensive stuff, Fox viewers are all uneducated hillbillys. Gotta love the far left “all inclusive” crowd. The link he provides as “proof” is from a 1998 study. Make of that what you will.
