Graduation Means All 27 Iraqi Battalions Now Operational
“I’m very happy,” said one soldier, through an interpreter. “I’m ready to go to the fight. I will fight terrorists not just here, but all through the world.”
You know, between the Iraqi and the Afghan soldiers, I think we are going to have some very dedicated reinforcements in the war against the terrorists. And I have a feeling that they are going to insist on helping out around the world (militarily and on mercy missions) once they get their own countries cleaned up. And I, for one, will be glad to have them at our side.

They have motivation, that’s for sure. I hope that they continue to be trained and funded properly. That is as important to Iraq’s security as anything.
The military to deal with the infiltrators, the police to deal with the crooks, the Iraqi people to learn to trust both (rule of law, anyone? They should be able to handle that… they invented it.) … those are the three things most important to Iraq’s long-term security.
