I figure that at least a few readers are going to click the comment link in order to inform me I’m not a man. (Or, in the case of women, that neither of us are men.)
Which just goes to show that the feminists do have a point about the term ‘man’ being used for both men and women. So, will any of you admit that’s why you clicked the link?

I don’t remember the last time I was so thankful for working in an isolated cubicle. But the last line, which I assume is some sort of cultural reference, did not do it for me.

The last line is some sort of cultural (sub-cultural, to be more exact) reference, indeed. But I think the idea (of Rove hearing the name and immediately changing his mind) gets through quite nicely even to those who don’t respond to the word used (’go for it’, or ‘do it’ would have done as well).
