When will they ever learn?

The AP, I mean, not to report things from Islamist websites as likely truth.

Ok, I found this link at small dead animals, who has a bunch of other links of people taking this latest kidnapping just a bit lightly (not that I blamed them, after reading further). From her links, I found Wizbang’s take on the same article, which led to this link, which led to me actually (even literally) laughing out loud.

AP got taken, folks. The ” mujahadeen” appear to have captured a GI Joe doll…

[update] AP has issued another article with corrections (but I cannot find a link to the correction on boston.com, the source of the original link… which is kind of interesting).

    I was about to post that it was a doll (but it was not a gi joe doll, because i could not find an exact match on their website) when drudge posted that it was a toy.

    I was five mins from greatness.

    Actually, I think it’s a ‘Cody’ doll, IIRC.

    Surprised they didn’t use Barbie for a GI Jane. Guess they’re not(yet)100% dumb.
