According to Richard C. Hoagland in an interview on Coast to Coast AM radio show this morning the “wobble” took place BEFORE the earth quake.
I thought this was an interesting observation. I do not understand the physics behind this but anyone out there that does understand may wish to chime in.
He mentioned the “Chandler (I think) Effect” which showed the earth was “wobbling” 14 months prior to the Alaska earth quake on Good Friday in 1964 (I was on Attu at the time).

Hmm. Well it always wobbles a little. I think it was Chandler that proved that.

I read that the day of the tsunami was 3 milliseconds shorter than a normal day. Never mind the fact that at least one of the islands hit moved 90 yards.

I would think a wobble would result in additional new forces being put on the faulth lines and therefore, look for more earthquakes as a result. On the lighter side…

if the earth’s a rockin, don’t come knockin.

Heh… Idoone. Thanks for the grin. I suspect the old song that goes: “I feel the earth move under my feet” is going to suffer a severe decline in popularity for a while.
