Good Christmas present for a snob.

Become a Lord for $76

The British aristocracy has long been an exclusive club but now anyone can become a Lord or Lady - for as little as £30 ($76).

A raft of British websites are offering one square foot of the Glencairn Estate in north-east Scotland and with it, access to the prestigious-sounding title of Lord/Laird and Lady of Glencairn.

Buyagift.co.uk is offering the “fun” title as the “ideal gift for anyone who aspires to greatness” for £29.99 ($76).

Heh.

King of my double-wide is as good a title as anyone needs. Of course, when you have the title “American”, what else to you need for stature?

I am holding out untill the title “Supreme Overlord of the Universe” comes up for sale. If I am going to waste my money on a fancy meaningless title, I want something with a little more kick than Laird of Glencairn

Argh! The Constitution Gets in the Way Again!
It’s surely worth $76, to become a lord - too bad the US Constitution says I can’t do it!
