Perhaps this time the opponents of the thugocracy in Iran will take matters into their own hands in a skillful manner, using the publicity to be gained from a now more aware public. Uniting behind the concept of a referendum, complete with international supervision, and putting the too-tightly-twisted-turban-crowd™ in a most awkward position, they can accomplish what is needed. A second article, also at Iran va Jahan, highlights this new effort. This is also the ideal time for the United States to use every means available to put pressure on Iran to behave in a civilized manner acceptable to the rest of the world wishing to be free of the threat of nuclear annihilation, too. A comprehensive approach has a great deal of appeal.
