Those pathetic “Old Europe” politicos, interested ONLY in their pocketbooks, will have all of us doing a Death Dance if we let them. Michael Ledeen, in his NRO column, lays out the case that €uro-perfidy endangers the entire world by its pathetic pandering to Iran’s pursuit of nuclear armaments. That too-tightly-twisted-turban-crowd™ has France, Germany, and Britain dancing like puppets on strings. That is no reason for the rest of us to stand on the sidelines clapping along with the beat of death drums or following the siren song.

Exactly.
Truth be told, most of the influential members of the EU probably see Iran’s graduation into the Nuclear weapon & delivery crowd as a deterrent to the US…in the pursuit of terrorists.
On one hand they will weigh the necessity to keep WMD out of the hands of fanatics. On the other hand they will weigh the perception of dealing a blow to the US and Israel so as to damage reputation.
Old Europe will always take perception over substance…and they continue to assume that the current administration will take the path of its predecessors. Bad choice for Old Europe and for Iran.
