Minutes after four young men robbed a Hiltonia resident of $1,500 cash Sunday night and threatened to rape his teenage daughters, one of the suspects lay dead under the victim’s sport utility vehicle on nearby Route 29.
The unidentified young man was killed after he jumped from his car and began shooting at the SUV driven by Robert O’Neal, 54, who had given chase.
O’Neal ran him over, police said.
“I didn’t mean for this to happen,” O’Neal said yesterday, fighting back tears. “I’m a single parent with two daughters. They had my credit cards, my wallet. They knew where I lived.”
He did the right thing. I hope someone tells him that.
He most certainly did do the right thing. The soft-on-criminals-liberals would probably agree as well. Afterall, he ran the punk down, as opposed to having blown him away. Whatever works.

If someone shoots at you for reasons unknown and you can’t drive away, run him down. I would. I hope he won’t waste too much needless tears over doing the right thing.

I doubt I’d waste many tears on someone like that. Except for tears of rage at myself that I hadn’t had a gun on me when I was attacked in the first place and I could have got them all.
More seriously, I really do hope the man gets told he did the right thing. Seems he’s one of those who does the right thing by instinct but whose world-view doesn’t really involve fighting back if it would hurt someone else.
Oh, and Wallis… you back up, then drive forward again. Triple redundancy is all the rage these days.

Imagine having a worldview as selfish as making the world a more dangerous place for others as well. I do not believe even Buddha have intended the Middle Path to be so oriented. Only the leftist idiocy could have invented such a faddist selfish hypocrisy.
