Kerry said: “Any attack will be met with a swift and certain response.”
I don’t want a “response", people. I want pre-emption. I disagree with Bush on almost everything except foreign policy but right now, foreign policy trumps the rest.
I do not want to wait until we are attacked before “responding". And, quite frankly, from Kerry’s past record as an anti-war activist, I’m afraid that “swift and certain response” might well involve surrender.

That’s not the only issue that Kerry is wrong on, but it’s enough by itself to ensure nobody in my family will vote for him.

Kerry, by default, cannot be wrong on any issues simply because in order to be evaluated, you have to hold a substantive position. He holds none…
Clinton used rely on polls to commit to policy. The process would be to float positions to focus groups, and act or not act at a later time. Kerry, is the stereotypical politician. Focus groups and polls be damned, he changes his mind and his ideology on demand reflective of the audience that particular day. As a result, he has been pigeon holed to a vague, non-commital, and highly aloof existence.
Cheers
