MB checked in with Hurricane Cleanup Central; all is quite well with Kathy, considering what might have happened but didn’t. She can hear and see signs of progress towards fixing the problem of the lack of power, so it’s not quite as bad in the “hopeful” department as it had been. In her immediate neighborhood, though, there are still a lot of trees draped over or crashed through the major power feeds, which involves much more manpower than just a lone lineman. The group in the apartment complex is still eating high on the hog, given the amount of food that is destined to be tossed if not consumed. Barbeque grills are working at full capacity!!
MB will check back this evening with an update…in the meantime, please remember that all-important HINT from the previous post !!

Great news!
Days after I lost electricity in hurricane Opal I was still flipping light switches when walking into dark rooms. Got me every time.
Took about 5 days to get power back.
I’ve got some aftermath photos up at http://slartibartfast.blogfodder.net
