Major Assassination Planned by al Qaeda?
I’m linking to Jeff Quinton because he’s got several article blurbs on it, plus a roundup.
The gist of the story is that they’ve found recent info in Pakistan indicating al Qaeda is planning a high-profile assassination, followed by major attacks on the US.
I could swear I heard rumors of some similar plot sometime around a year or so ago. Googling doesn’t seem to help. Maybe I’m dreaming, or maybe I was reading one of the more paranoid ’security’ websites and they just had a lucky guess going.
