I’ve been browsing around and reading comments on the latest atrocity perpetrated by sadistic monsters. I’ve seen several comments here and there that state that “we can’t protect the civilians” (either in Iraq or SA). That’s true enough — but the civilians can protect themselves. The contractors in Iraq and Saudi Arabia should be armed at all times. And they should shoot to kill if anyone attempts to kidnap them. That would stop the sadists — one way or another.

Hear Hear! Best idea I’ve heard in a while.
Ah, but RBK (division of Halliburton) wants to dis-arm their people, on the (asinine) theory that un-armed personnel would not be targeted! I think that was just last month, if someone with better skills than I wants to go looking.
I hope they have changed their minds.
